In 3-5 simple lines, pitch your own book idea, also choose the author that will bring it to life. I'll go first

>The year is 2136
>Humanity failed to colonize the stars after a global nuclear war 47 years prior
>The richest person in the United States of China, Zaruun Wang, predicted this outcome and secretly began funding research into an underwater city beneath the Atlantic Ocean
>By the time the first nuke dropped, the city of Zaruunthar was fully populated with some of the richest amd most talented humans on the earth
>On the 47th anniversary, deep sea miners discover an ancient artifact that broadcasts signals
>These signals begin to reanimate dead flesh and drive the population of Zaruunthar mad

>uncountable years in the future
>a small class of elite super-scientists segregated themselves in floating cities while the rest of civilization went in cycles of barbarism and order
>eventually they engineered their bodies to live for much longer than before, with the requirement of eating human flesh
>one by one, the cities landed in search of the flesh of the humans below
>the main character is one such creature, wandering the earth in search of redemption for hundreds of years, making his way toward a black tower which appears on the horizon at dusk and dawn; this is where the story starts, and the preceding lined are left for the audience to figure out

Half-inch tall people live in a highway cloverleaf in towns built under rocks and tree stumps and debate what to do when a human child wanders into one of the border kingdoms and potentially exposes their existence to the humans if he finds them.

Nigger yours was longer than 5 lines. But this is a cool thread. As for my book idea:
>In a spacefaring future, we have AI/androids that are indistinguishable from humans. Both sapient and sentient. >All mind altering drugs are not only legal, but heavily researched and used often by just about everybody.
>Morons still think androids aren't "real", yet are just as entranced by the very best models. Some androids are just that good at charming us.
>Through drugs, willpower and brainwashing, people can compel themselves to hurt and kill even the best androids.
>Main character has a sexy android he loves dearly.
>It's either her or his family and friends. The latter are actively trying to kill her because they're retarded luddites. They can't accept that an artificial life form is in many ways more "real" than they are. More human than human and all that.
>He of course chooses her and kills off the people he knows. Slowly accepting that they never really meant anything to him. The feeling is mutual. He gets a very hard earned happy ending with his robot babe.
>The book is written by a hornier Phillip K. Dick.
>Audiobook/radio drama is voiced by the late great James McCaffrey (Rest In Peace) He voices the protagonist. Any boomerlennials are free to bitch about me mentioning audiobooks ;D

Basically it would be like a geopolitical Coen brothers movie where the appearance of an external threat, and arguing at the grand council what to do about him, ends up causing a war which brings them to ruin just like big humans finding them would. Like, imagine if the White walkers discovered at the start of GoT and they argued over what to do about them, and that causes the war instead of political ambitions. That's a loose analogy but I figure most people are at least secondhand familiar with ASOIAF.

I also wrote one where the tiny people were captured and studied in a lab, but it was too Holocaust coded and I realized that. I only wrote like 30 pages of it. Also at one point some of them are in the wiring in the walls about to set up something to electrocute one of the human scientists, and the main character says that's fucked up, but the leader guy doesn't just want to escape, he wants to kill as many humans as possible. So there's a swordfight among the little people inside the cable tube and one gets finessed so he stabs the into the wires and gets fried and dies. I thought that was a cool scene at least in my own head.
