>>24504082I've read Stalker last week, it was cool. My favorite sci-fi to date has to be Foundation (book 1, the novellas), or the first two books of Cixin Liu's Three Body trilogy. The third unnecessarily expands the scope of the story in time and space, using great ideas in the process but unbareable characters. I'm still not over the main character and her stupidity. I wish it stopped at the second book, which it could have.
For a very short unsolicited non-sci-fi rec, I suggest you check out The Hunting Gun by Yasushi Inoue. One of the highlights of the year for me.
