Some light novel for the beach, still doesn't know which one, and poetry. Probably Milton and some Italian literature. I also want to get back at Beowulf but that's not quite for the seafront.

Got recommended The Consolations of Philosophy since I've hardly read any philosophy (Only Meditations and Tao Te Ching, tried to read Nietzsche but got filtered)

Wanna buy a collection of Bernhard and read whatever from there
A bunch of political shit from all over the place.

Going to reread The Vorrh trilogy and One hundred years of solitude, and read The master and Margarita for the first time. After that probably a sci-fi, so if anyone has any rec's that be cool.

The journals of Kerouac, selected letters of his, Visions of Gerard, Lonesome Dove, and then who knows, we'll probably be in august by then.

I've read Stalker last week, it was cool. My favorite sci-fi to date has to be Foundation (book 1, the novellas), or the first two books of Cixin Liu's Three Body trilogy. The third unnecessarily expands the scope of the story in time and space, using great ideas in the process but unbareable characters. I'm still not over the main character and her stupidity. I wish it stopped at the second book, which it could have.

For a very short unsolicited non-sci-fi rec, I suggest you check out The Hunting Gun by Yasushi Inoue. One of the highlights of the year for me.

Me too, I'll be reading the second volume.
In my opinion, volume 1 gets really good when other characters start joining Quixote's party.

Almost finished The Master and Margarita. Next up for July and August I'll be reading 2001: A Space Odyssey, Ender's Game, and Ender's Shadow, at the least. Might also squeeze The Longest Day by Cornelius Ryan in there too.

I picked up Roy Thomas's Barbarian Life in which he goes over his time writing his run on the Conan the Barbarian comics and intend to read it alongside the actual comic.

Finishing up The Science Of The Cross by Teresa Benedicta. Then I think I'm going to read Goethe's Italian Journey. I feel like a travelogue through Italy makes for good summer reading.

After Book of the New Sun spin off sequels I plan to spend August reading the complete plays of Shakespeare. I also have the following short books laying around to choose from
>Demian
>Dr Faustus by Marlowe
>Undine
>Satyricon
>Grendal
>Peer Gynt and Brand
>Blindsight

Not sure which of those I will get to over the summer. Finishing the current series and Shakespeare take priority.
