How do the portrayals of God and Jesus in the Gospels compare to their depiction in the Old Testament, and what theological implications arise from these differences?

God is the Creator of the universe, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, entirely distinct from His creation. He is often depicted as dwelling in unapproachable light and majesty.

It depends on your reading.
For a Christian, there is perfect harmony and the Old Testament should be read under the view that everything in it is about Jesus.
A Jewish person on the other hand won't believe Jesus to be God.
