Vauban Books are republishing The Camp of the Saints by Jean Raspail. Should I pick it up? Looks pretty interesting.

I'm looking forward to it (granted it's avaliable in Europe). I have been wanting to read this book for a while but English translations are so fucking expensive and I'm not an ereader fag.

No, it's fairly unimpressive. Crude and clumsy in its thesis and the delivery of it, unremarkable in terms of style and writing. The only reason you might want to read it is if you're a white supremacist and like having your beliefs repeated back to you, although honestly if you're a remotely sophisticated white supremacist you'll find that the book insults your intelligence.

It's good but not even top five of Raspail. Even though he was 47 he hadn't yet reached his art, all of his best books are from the 80s forward. If you read French the anthology "Là-bas, au loin, si loin..." which is like 20 bucks is much better all around.
It's also "dated" in the sense that it might have been revolutionary when it came out (about the psychology of the western neo-cuck which is the main topic of the book) but any insight has been available in any bad goy content of the 21st century, and arguably in better form.
Still props to recognizing the jeet menace. Most people in the 70s still viewed India as some mysterious spiritual place. Raspail insisted making it jeets even more than negroes which was really ahead of his time. Today, we understand.

Looks like a shitty print-on-demand job from a publisher who doesn't have the rights and copy/pasted an epub
