skin in the game is okay but should be 80 pages
art of the war could be summed up in 10 pages
the musk book is interesting if you care about him I guess, I liked parts of it, it should be shorter too

I read half of the rest and it was shit

It is actually a really deep philosophical book, you're just too dumb to understand it.

the b8est of b8 I've seen. if you condensed all shitty /lit/ bait into a post, it would be something like this. i anticipate this format becoming a dominant genre of bait. add a single work of non-meme philosophy, some ancient plays, and a book of good but semi-obscure foreign verse in there and this site will be unusable for a year or two.

I again have the feeling that the person who made this didn't read these books. I own a few of them and read some of them.
Some are good: Meditations, The Courage to be Disliked, Notes from the underground (haven't read that one yet), Psychology of Money
Some are questionable: The Alchemist, The Art of War, Musk Autobiography

It depends for whom this list is, but I don't understand why "normal" people that just want to learn something or read need to read The Art of War or some Musk Autobiography. What the fuck do they get out of this.
And the amount to read is strange too. July looks like a chill read. But August looks exhausting. The Laws of Human Nature is fucking thicc and pretty dense. I own it and skimmed through it. Everything that Robert Greene writes is pretty dense. You won't finish that in a week and probably not even two. And Quiet by Cain looks fucking huge too.

It’s self help sloppa with a dash of new age spiritualism and fit for some hustler university reading list. Low IQ people with a business degree will cum in their pants while learning nothing at all.

Nah /lit/ in a nutshell would be that I pretend to have read it. I admitted to not have read it which makes me sadly more real than most people here. At least that is the feeling I have.

Meditations isn't shit. I did quite enjoy it and it had some valuable information. I wouldn't say that Marc Aurel is the most best gigga nigga philosophers, because he isn't even a bad one. He isn't one at all. But it is still a decent book and if you think otherwise your opinion just is "I want to be different than people from reddit so I just negate their opinion."
And chill. I will read it in the future. I said that it is good because I know that Dosto is a good thinker and the book is glazed on here.

The Alchemist is fine, sure it's babby's first """philosophical""" book, but it's fine

I'd rather the world have a hundred million more The Alchemist readers than a single The Secret reader

It's a blessing actually.
Everytime you encounter someone who talks about it exclusively when it comes to philosophy you know that there is now further use of conversation regarding that topic since he just needs someone to tell him to do.
