If yes, you are going at a good pace. If no, slow your pace to accompany the writer - pick out the key words/phrases they use and the human brain "learns" how to fill the simple context between them (i.e Maxewell went to the store and (insert keywords here) and said to the clerk (insert keyphrase). 4) expand the eyes focus to sections of the page - whatever you can handle - till you are reading at a pace you need/enjoy.
