What Hegel doesn’t understand here is that objectivity and subjectivity are not equal weights on a fulcrum. Schelling and the Schellingian Hegel have forgotten the most fundamental insight of Kant. You can’t deduce subjectivity from objectivity without begging the question. But Fichte shows that you can in fact proceed in the reverse direction as long as you postulate facticity. Activity is prior to being - Fichte understood this; Aristotle understood this. Schelling did not understand this. In seeking perfect symmetry, Schelling actually destroys the universe, which exists in tension - the night in which all cows are black.
