What’s a good novel of his? I liked City and the City but dropped Kraken. Where should I go next?

City and City is his best. Embassytown and Perdido Street Station are also decent. Kraken blows. Haven't read his others.

I prefer his short stories to his novels though. Try Three Moments of an Explosion.

I find it absolutely hilarious when out of touch sissies misinterpret Tolkien due to their own feelings of insecurity.

it is real though. just because one guy wrote boring books that have traditional morality doesn't make it untrue.

whatever you meant by absolute morality when you implied it's not real.

>>24515863
not really, sometimes I am wrong. this doesn't mean objectively good things don't exist.

I feel like Socrates getting attacked by midwits thinking their shallow arguments are the most intelligent shit ever.

Dumb quote and dumb beliefs don't change the fact that he's a top 10 author of the 21st century. And he's right to an extent; Tolkien was great, but his legacy killed the genre of fantasy in the womb.

That's the fault of publishers, not Tolkien himself.
