>shiiiiet don't it be crazy you can finna remember shit because some shit triggers a memory shiiiiiiet
>for 4000 pages
It's a meme to call this shit good right
you'll certainly be in search of lost time after reading this piece of shit
>>24516769 (OP)Sure, whatever womanly snarky sour grapes attitude you want if that helps you
>>24516769 (OP)indeed.
>>24516774Proust was literally a French faggot and in search of lost time is garbage.
Currently reading and the madeleine scene was nice. Made me want to get some to dip in tea.
>>24516807Holy shit irrelevant gossip about the author? Did you mean to lean that heavily into the womanly thing?
>>24516769 (OP)>The book is about... remembering things! And times past! Look, it's in the title! No i can't recall even a single event in the book to provide an example.Just admit you've never read it.
I don't care for faggots blogposting
>>24517426is this directed at proust or op
>>24516769 (OP)Anyone who just says ISOLT is about memory and shit has not read it.
>>24517958Memory and shit but in france
>>24517958emotions, but I haven't read it yet
I just don't see the appeal in trying to read this desu. Even if it is a quality work, nobody believes it to be the best book of all time. With those 4000 pages I could've read Don quixote, crime and punishment, Lolita, moby dick, dubliners, Ulysses, blood meridian, notes from underground, and a hero of our time.
Like I'll probably read it eventually, but probably at least 5-10 years from now
>>24518623Just do the fucking thing, I doubt it is THAT bad. I've read 1000 pages of Atlas Shrugged while not even liking it that much in a week. You could probably read all books in two months or something.
>>24518623Lol what it is considered by so many people and publications to be the greatest piece of literature of all time.
>>24516769 (OP)Does it *really* need to be 4000 pages long though? He couldn't condense it down even a little?
