It's actually insane how this story manages to arouse such starkly different sentiments in people depending on who reads it. Or maybe it just reveals how many supposedly good people are genuine psychos incapable of any real empathy.

the amount of libs that still think this isn't making fun of them at all is just staggering. if you grow up trusting blue women and taking their word literally you WILL turn into the protagonist, the only question is to what degree. we've progressed culturally from chivalry, to "gentlemanly", to "male feminist". In every age these notions get you maybe one step closer to a girlfriend, and often three steps backward. the only bad part of this story is the ending, it completely spoils the point and regresses to a stereotype that doesn't exist in real data. these people rarely hurt anyone besides themselves. but he had to get it trad published, so he went back to the mass shooter trope.
