The vagueness of everyone's definition on that topic makes me want to blow my brains out. Even Ayn Rand which I deeply love defines it as : ~"achievement of one’s values." CAN YOU BE MORE VAGUE???!! YOU CLAIM THE WHOLE POINT OF LIFE IS THE ACHIEVEMENT OF HAPPINESS AND THATS HOW YOU DEFINE IT ??

Please tell me who in literature, if anyone, has addressed happiness in a non-vague manner. Something more than "it's whatever lol" and if someone says that "happiness is just pleasure" that atleast they have the courage to extensively support it by testing against reality, because happiness=pleasure just seems so deeply wrong with all my experience of life so far.

Here's mine so far:

Happiness is a sense of pride in your ability to make decisions; It is a confidence in our choices’ ability to change the world and ourselves according to our desires. It is essentially the result of major achievements and values that demonstrate and promote your ability to think independently. What results is a feeling of total control over one’s life.

which explains why animals don't really matter morally; they don't care about being taken care of, about being slaves.
which explains also why being a constrained by a tyrant on tells you what you can and cannot do, even if he doesn't actively make you suffer, is immoral.
which explains why humans prefer art to debate, so they can change and evaluate ideas independently.

Yeah, nah, nothing of you said has anything to do with happiness. What you are talking about is power. Happiness is always related to letting go of taking care of things.
