I contemplate suicide daily since I heard DFW did it. A lot of people I know irl, also do. Are most people today suicidal and either too cowardly to follow through or numb enough from distractions that it doesn't bother them? (My life is okay as was DFW's and I have no sad feelings about suicide)

I’m not suicidal and never have been. In fact, I’m doing everything I can to live to a least 100. I’m hoping to finish Bloom’s Western Canon list before I go.

I've thought I was suicidal in the past, but I think I was just brainwashed by melodramatic media and somewhat narcissistic. I would think of killing myself and then get really sad at the idea and subconsciously get off at how sad other people would get.
