I don't think that's the issue.

PhilosophyTube and Contra aren't that deep into philosophy to begin with and they mostly prefer philosophy that provides a basis for sociological analysis which tends to be less abstract. You don't really hear them talk about metaphysics or metaethics for example.

I prefer Contra and have seen most of her stuff, even her unlisted videos, but it's pretty much always focused on culture -- especially relating to gender and sexuality. Her reading of philosophers tends to reflect this with a heavy focus on feminism and political philosophy. Her biggest influence is probably Freud which kind of completes the picture. The last time I recall her discussing a historically prominent philosopher was Nietzsche and she read him as self-help. Not to say that there's a wrong way to read him, but there are certainly analyses which are more penetrating and hers came across as quite shallow.

It's not like you'll hear them ever express, say, an ethical view that is radically divergent from the mainstream, which tends to happen when someone has adopted a highly abstract view of society. In fact their ethics are incredibly normative and sort of blandly liberal. Contra has been attacked for being insufficiently progressive multiple times.

I think for the left it's like a rite of passage into sainthood, their equivalent of bearing the stigmata. I don't agree with other posters that it makes your life easier; most people are rightly repulsed by trannies and I imagine the injections and surgeries can't be fun. Not to mention that this is an ongoing process; they have to dilate their gaping wounds and rely on the medical industry to keep supplying them with heavy narcotics to keep their self-image going. No rational person would do this to make their lives easier. My theory is that it's a combination of these factors:

4. Some sort of inherent faggotry/hormonal issue. I think this only applies to some of them but contrapoints is one. I watched an interview with him and a right wing guy when he was still calling himself a man and the right wing guy basically said men are horny beasts and we have to acknowledge that and build a social order that takes that into account. Then contrapoints responded that male horniness is socially constructed and can be changed which any man knows is complete horseshit. It's a thing that only girls say and believe. That led me to believe he might have some sort of hormonal imbalance that makes him think like a girl.
5. Just signalling, "look how left wing I am".
