You'd want to avoid a situation where you appeal to the extreme sides of the spectrum. The original pitch was that it was your Everyman. So no chads or incels. Probably make it about a boring dude who gets a job in IT support or at a consulting firm or government contractor, chases passions like a dog chases bees, marries a girl after he gives up on his oneitis coming back, slowly watches as his body turns to mush, his old friends drift away, more into their own barred lives, until his name starts to get forgotten as he's still alive. Ends up in a retirement home where the helpers go through his stuff and steal the few things of value to flip.

A house of streamers trying more wild and depraved shit and still failing to get views while one of them is just effortlessly popular (also the most attractive) who refuses to acknowledge the truth of his success and all his fans are telling him to do a collab throughout and he meets the new guy and he's younger/cuter than him and rapidly rising in popularity. This is only a brief plot diversion, the residents of the house are the main focus. The main protag resists joining in on the silliness finding it demeaning but slowly starts dipping his toe in until one of them dies as a result of the mustard gas challenge or some shit. Ends with the main protag working at a grocery store bagging groceriea miserabke. One day an adult with 2 kids comes up and recognizes him but the kids don't. He's walking home over a bridge, looks out at the city, bums a cigarette. Fade to black.
