Look at how conservatives tried to appeal to people based on "American values and our Christian heritage" and it totally failed, while liberals and leftists responded that Cetswhayo Hoogabooga Zulu, Suniti Eshkwayheziz, Pablo Cortez san Trinidad de la Rosa, and any other foreigners fresh off the boat are just as American as John Smith descended from the original Mayflower colonists.
