Yeah. Nazis were very inspired by the Bolsheviks (Eisenstein in particular) for their use of film to spur mass mobilization.

Can you imagine being a 70 year old Russian peasant and suddenly a train rolls into your town thats been converted into a movie theater? Would have been transcendental. Really good way to get the masses on your side. The nazis did a good job with it but they could never get the same social effect.
