I am immensely struggling with processing and retaining information, and have been considering that my issue might be a matter of blood flow and overabundance of toxins in my body instead of by-default adhd. Has anybody here noticed massive improvements in their readership once they took better care of their bodies? I don't want to be this fried drooling whiny retard forever, and at age 24 it's already getting a bit late. Taking regular walks has not cleared my mind enough.

I'll give a genuine answer before the thread is shitted up with idiots that neither lift nor read.
The short answer is yes, without going into the weeds of the science of why (if you wanted to know the technical shit you surely would have just googled it), what you are looking for is an affirmation and guidance to reinforce your mindset.
There are many ways to approach this, the most cost effective way that shows results the fastest is a simple daily routine of calisthenics to get the ball rolling, if you are content with this then congratulations, you have formed a lifelong habit that has huge short and long-term benefits. If you decide to progress into weight lifting or sports then more power to you.
Exercise helps us optimise ourselves for the trials the world throws at us, building discipline to follow a routine will aid your discipline in your reading. Create a better version of yourself Anon, that guy is more likely to read than you are.

Wellbeing in general is going to improve your reading ability, exercise is only really a part of that, and for most people it's an important part but there could be tonnes of other reasons why your wellbeing isn't great like sleep, diet, and your social health.
You could focus on exercise more but you might not be fixing the overall picture, and if the only exercise you're currently doing are "regular walks" you might have much vaster issues with your health that's going to require a lot more work.
So yeah definitely exercise, and do something more strenuous than walking, but you may want to look at other deficiencies in your life if you can't keep up with it.
Even if you fix all that stuff you need to make sure you're actually reading for pleasure, or at the very least reading stuff you're actually interested in. Way too many pseuds on here try to dive into stuff like old Greek classics (often dense translations of those that were done in the 1800s), and I doubt many are doing it beyond wanting to appear supr smart.
Your main motivation to read seems to be some insecurity around appearing like a cooked retard, in which case focusing on your health is definitely the best thing you can do since appearances depend so much on that. Then if you actually do want to read you'll do so organically through topics that actually interest you.

To be disheveled is the norm in the literary world. It has been for many years. Make of that what you will.

Yes. Exercise and intense aerobic exercise like running in particular has huge cognitive benefits. I do my best thinking during a long run and post run I feel content and more focused than at any other time in my life.

This is a good thread to ask: What's your exercising routine?

Thanks a lot lads. This clarified a lot of things, especially the first two posts. I'll do my best to turn things around, with a bit of early morning calisthenics for starters.

I run roughly 2 miles every other day at a fast pace. I do pull-ups to failure about 5 times a day. I stretch whenever I feel tight. Besides that I just stay active. I explore the woods. Play with my kids. Putter around my garden. For a bookish nerd I spend a lot of time outdoors.

Good work. Just remember, it's a marathon not a sprint, you will see great progress if you put your mind to it. Also, I don't give a fuck what any of the retards on /fit/ say, never compare the body you are building to fitness models on Instagram or other social media sources. You are doing this for wellbeing and cognitive improvement, don't lose sight of that to compete in only attention whore pageantry.
