What was your favorite Aesop/fable growing up? Stories wthin a story (Canterbury Tales for example) may count.

Actual Aesop fable? The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Mostly because that's the only one I can remember hearing as a kid.

My favorite fable in general was the King and his Hawk, which I knew from its inclusion in the The Book of Virtues. It was probably the first actual tragedy I can remember reading/hearing/watching.

King and his hawk is from Arabian Nights btw (real early in it like day 8 or so) in case you didn’t know.
