Is there any way I can prove or disprove, once and for all\ to stop face sitting, whether God exists or not? I have thought of doing a long novena prayer, the 54-day novena catholic prayer, asking for an asbolutely undeniable ,VISIBLE SIGN. If granted, then God exists for sure.
if God exists for sure, it's absolutely true to the full extent, i might become a priest, or lay monk or consecrated.
if he doesn't exist, then he won't start existing, to I'll devote my life to living extremely atheistically, albeit using non-theistic LOA methods.

You can prove that he exists via metaphysics / natural theology.

If things exist, then existence itself exists. If existence itself exists (that is: Being itself), it can't depend on anything else, because that state of affairs itself would have to exist in order to make or allow existence itself to exist.

If it doesn't depend on anything else, then it (existence itself) is absolutely metaphysically necessary. And as we said, it's being itself, ergo absolute being. It must also be immutable and eternal, because the alternative would be existence itself not existing in some way, which is absurd.

N.B. that existence does not pertain simply to carnal things like rocks and clouds, but atoms and scientific truths/laws of mathematics, etc.

Various immaterial things exist, even if we can't be certain of their nature, and we all act and live as if it were the case, because it is. In fact, we can't do otherwise.

Now the cold pallid God of classical theology that this argument and others yields you is a far cry from the God of revelation, but you can at least using reason determine that God does, in fact, exist.

I would say it's not inappropriate. Plenty of people manage to commune with God without abstruse metaphysics, but if you can understand it, it's not invalid.

Personally, I can't feel a real connection to God. I can only get as far as the intellectual connection. Something about the way I live or the configuration of my personality is defective or lacking, such that it gets in the way of living, breathing friendship with God. So I'm personally stuck at the level of deism, but if deism helps you build a bridge, then it's worthwhile.

I mean, I'm with you already in the idea that human nature is such that it can't be satisfied with cold abstractions. That's not what we're made for.
