never tried to talk to / interact with any of them, but i simply couldn't stop catching glances of them before the recital, during bathroom breaks, and after the recital

don't think that's where i developed a thing for white girls, but it was definitely a contributor if not an outright source

also read their hymnals in the pews cuz i was bored, and they had a whole bunch of stuff my church's chinese-english hymnals lacked, like plainchant and "the eucharist"

thought they were more christian than my stupid chinese church at the time, but later found out they were the least christian of all christians

Having been raised Episcopalian, I'm curious to learn how I'm 'less Christian' than other Christians. Do tell

Yet... also among the whitest and richest of denominations. Really makes you think, huh? (Compare the demographics of New England or Oregon.)

I know CCD is what only Catholics call it. Other denominations call it different things. My nondenomibaptist congregation simply called it "Sunday school". Had to go there as a middle schooler.

And then there was VBS during the summer, which was separate, and which my mom also had me attend a few times.

And yes, there was the attractive girl THERE from time to time, but they were clearly of a more prudish worldview. And most of them were fellow Asians rip.

There WAS this one Wasian girl who joined, who unlike a certain supreme gentleman mentioned upthread, WAS indeed in touch with her Asian roots. Met her at my Chinese school too, and unlike me, she was taking the CSL classes, instead of mine which were for heritage learners like myself. She also played string instruments and danced.

Sadly she never reciprocated my love. Later stalked her IG and she's now on e-board of her uni's Chinese student org, so glad to hear she's doing OK.

(And yes, said Chinese school was likely a CPC plant, which I've mixed feelings about, but that's a tale for another day.)
