uhh who didn't know this? lenin wasn't even in russia. that's why germany had to put him on that armored train to make sure he got back safely to perform a coup and then immediately surrender to germany which he did.

For some reason the role of the proletariat has just been completely forgotten
Communists with Leninist sympathies want to believe that it was the parties, the ideologists who did it whereas anti-Communists want to believe that it was the evil communists who corrupted the innocent workers and hijacked their revolution
In reality the proletariat had already radicalised themselves and they had become bloodthirsty mindless animals
They didn't have any real goals, just grievances against those who had made something of their life, they wanted to tear it all down and unleash their hatred against them
The proletariat was a festering wound in Imperial Russia and there was nothing that could be done to stop the spiteful horde from ruining everything
Literacy was a mistake

Lenin had materially almost nothing to do with the USSR's inception and a good deal to do with fucking it up. His writings are nonsense. The only credit he deserves is for his string of anticolonial thought which made the Communism exportable outside of Europe, which is a big deal. But he gets way way too much attention.

yeah and Lenin even had a perfect chance before October. The crowds were already ready to march to the palace but Lenin thought it was too early and gave a shitty speech to the crowds while giving no orders so the whole things died out.

The thing about Bolshies and the empty throne is they were the only ones around with enough functional braincels to take it when it was there, and then hold it when the rest of the world had a collective meltie and tried to kick them out of it. Army was utterly disunited and lead by clinical retards, SRs were just grifting on Entente cash with no goals or plan beyond prolonging the grift, regional nationalists were so busy autofellating themselves they never paid heed to the empty throne.

Bolshies going "hol' up, we can like, literally seize power over the former Empire and nobody will be able to stop us" and just doing exactly that instead of confining the idea to some gay booklets and tomes is one of the most based developments in the modern history.

If USA faced a similar crisis today, none of you faggots would do jack shit.

Gotta blame those who produced said proletariat then.
>Literacy was a mistake
Tsarists tried keeping it down for centuries but continuously failed.

If Lenin hadn't taken power the Whites would have basically the same Civil War, only this time killing each other, and in the end Lenin or Trotsky or Bukharin or some other bolshie with a three-digit IQ takes power anyway. The Red Army itself actively stomping the Whites out of existence was historically not enough to keep Whites from fighting each other about as much as they fought the Reds. Without them it would be Whites FFAing and proxying until they cuck each other out of any chance to form a state.

The proletariat was 3 million people in an empire of 167 millions, and not "radicalized" outside the four largest industrial cities, and it was happening in a still mobilized country with millions of available peasant soldiers who couldn't all fit on the front and would be easily deployed inwards.
Had there been any semblance of authority still in place the agitators could have been contained within three days.

>Had there been any semblance of authority still in place the agitators could have been contained within three days.
The agitators and rebels already were successfully contained a while before - that's what the first Russian revolution of 1905 was. And it showed that even when they have enormous jurisdiction, resources and manpower, the tsarist state sec had zero practical interest in actually dismantling the brewing rebellion - it was purely a mean and excuse to harvest bribes and set up bullshit glow ops for siphoning state funds.

Bolshies knew from actual experience that they could rob a bank directly under state sec supervision as a "sting' operation, get arrested, pay the officers in charge their share from the robbery and just walk out of a prison to do it all over again. Nobody in power gave half a fuck about actually containing and neutralizing them.

Countless times in history, such as Attila, Muhamad, Temujin and Tamerlane. Not exactly a good thing by itself.
>turned a feudal shithole into a modern industrial
All countries? Most of them without a madness attached to it?
Using an all powerful bureaucracy to arbitrarily shift X millions of farmers into factories because they thought factories were just metaphysically better, resulting in giant famines, is not really an achievement.

>Using an all powerful bureaucracy to arbitrarily shift X millions of farmers into factories because they thought factories were just metaphysically better, resulting in giant famines
Tsarists were already doing exactly that for decades, only they were also failing utterly to produce a functional industry.

Abolition of serfdom
>a bull-headed attempt to jumpstart an industry with a labor supercharge
>creates no industry, only a handful of grifter millionaires who abuse the new system to funnel all the benefits into their pockets
>kills millions, causes massive famines
>Alexander II gets boop'd

Land reform
>a bull-headed attempt to jumpstart an industry with a labor supercharge
>creates no industry, only a handful of grifter millionaires who abuse the new system to funnel all the benefits into their pockets
>kills millions, causes massive famines
>A bunch of ministers get boop'd

Stolypin reforms
>a bull-headed attempt to jumpstart an industry with a labor supercharge
>creates no industry, only a handful of grifter millionaires who abuse the new system to funnel all the benefits into their pockets
>kills millions, causes massive famines
>Stolypin gets boop'd

Bolshie measures actually achieved the desired results for a change.

You'll want to read Victor Serge and stop being a munt. Chiefly you'll want to learn about the conflict between the Intellectual's "Soviet" of the parties and the workers' soviets of factories. City under Siege, or any libcom text on Kronstadt (which was an all party affair, supported by working class bolsheviks).

Or you could just cunt yourself online.
