Other than Don Quixote and Prince Myshkin, who are your favorite "doomed idealist" characters?

You know nothing about literature apparently, so no I would say the book would probably not be the best for you at this moment

4chan is full of froward retards who want to seem intelligent because of a specialized insecurity. But they are still froward, a misfortunate paradox.

Emma Bovary is easily the most unlikeable character I have ever encountered. Even Satan was at least witty.

the point of the book is to make her unlikable just like any romantic "doomed idealist" chracter would irl be, but to still understand her and through the understanding sympathize with her.
Madame Bovary is supposed to show two things: 1) how romantics are laughably retarded, 2) how materialists are laughably retarded .
And that to lead happy fulfilled life you need to be both romantic and materialist
The final thing it tells through not addressing it: 3) 19th century people could NOT fuck well, good fucking solves all of problems, women should get their brains fucked out of them
