Digital Fortress was pretty good, although its depictions of computers is most likely extremely dated by now. Bear in mind I read it probably like 15 years ago when I was 12.
Deception Point was bad. I never read any of the other books.

Theyโ€™re entertaining and while his writing style is terrible he includes a lot of interesting historical and puzzle details.

I read the DaVinci Code as a kid and loved it. Became obsessed about the story and the conspiracy behind it, years later I even read Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, which turned out to be a hoax in the sense that one of the secret societies was fake.

I remember being really really into the story, but obviously at the time I wasn't equip to judge the prose, obviously it's Lolita or Heart of Darkness but who cares, I like it.

So only good if you're a young kid just getting into reading?

digitial fortress is funny, the style is unintendedly humorous at times, there's a kind of flagrancy to it you don't see often

It was the assassin's Tom and Jerry-esque chase with the male protagonist + [the egocentric coworker's flirtations with the female protagonist and then the reveal of the cryptography department's boss's desire for said female protagonist wasn't it?

I don't like Dan Brown at all but I have read almost all of his books just so that me and my dad could have something to talk about.

I thought it was funny that the villain wins in the Inferno.

I first learned about antimatter in Angels & Demons when I was a kid. I thought it was cool and that I had acquired some obscure knowledge.
