I liked the parts with Jesus and Pilate. But the rest really was lulsorandum. It really is an extremely overrated book because of the times and circumstances it was written and published and because Western intellectuals have a weird boner for rashan shit.

The book is pretty much self explanatory: two successive authors compete in a Dilbertisque contest on who will write teh best story on Pontius for the evil mastermind chef of glavlit and one ends up dead , the other in loony bin, and the orchestrator is beheaded by satan, also the main protagonist is innocent victim of Moscow living space situation, as the Jeshua is "innocent'" victim of (((jew tricks))) and bezdomny is innocent victim of his superior.
Sure the bad guys get punished but it doesn't seem to help the 'victims' one bit.
The Margaret is proof that women are pure evil, although she is the prize the Master receives for his torment.
Also: Its her revenge BC in Faustus Margaret was fucked over big time.

I think it's funny how Hella was such a minor and poorly thought-out character. At one point she just disappears for the rest of the novel and it's funny cause Bulgakov prob just forgot about her.

He was dying when he was writing Master and Margarita and I'm pretty sure he didn't even finish it and it was compiled into a coherent book by his wife after his death. It's surprising that there isn't more stuff like that.

The only other error that comes to mind is at the end of the book when he tells us the master and margarita’s bodies were left in the apartment and then in the epilogue he says they disappeared/ no one knows what happened to them.
