I only seek to read ya/scifi/fantasy/romance. I resented all the teachers/professors who forced me to read classics in which I had zero interest. I used Spark Notes to get through most of them anyway, so screw them. Now that I'm free, I can do what I want, when I want.

Language is ineluctably limited, there are things you cannot express with it. It has it's place and everyone needs a rest. A more precise definition for slop should be art that's like porn but for different human needs. Netflix films were designed to be watched while you're on your phone, rap is designed to appeal to inner nigger in black kids etc etc. That's art that doesn't have anything to say and doesn't service the viewer, it only degrades them further in their addictions and fantasies.
