Had a flash of inspiration when I saw this and thought about how modern war is mostly pressing buttons in a control center hundreds of miles away from the battlefield, but then I realized that my idea was just Fight Club.

You got filtered. Perhaps he was a larper but if you actually believe you are smarter or superior to Evola you’re mistaken. Even if you disagree with his spirituality he was at least a great writer. Are you sure you understood him enough to disagree though?

To be fully honest, I STILL respect Evola and Evola”tards” more >>24547044than I do you or someone like you, at least based off this post.
This is a sad fact of modern day humanity, and particularly how humanity converses on the Internet today - utter losers can very easily satirize, parody, mock, “debunk”, belittle and critique people FAR greater than they will ever be, and who put far more intelligence, artistry, and soul into their corpus (of works or arts) than, say, a 4chan shitposter puts into their post, or meme mocking such a figure and their art.
Do you see?

I don’t particularly hate black people. Don’t hate Jews. Don’t even hate women.
But the thing about someone like Evola, - neither did he, very likely. He didn’t uncritically adhere to any of these things (hating all Blacks/Jews/Women just on principle), but a shallow reading of him and his readers or followers can have it that this is true. Just because he veers from the politically correct orthodoxy on various issues in whatever way.

I again give more credit to him, even if he’s some schizoid chud, than I do to any anon like you (OP). And this is just from basic commonsense and taste. Evola still could’ve created beautiful, thoughtful, and/or interesting works, whereas all (on average, by and large) anons like you have is precisely such low-effort shitposts.

It’s like how burning down a house is far easier than actually building it. Being the architect or construction worker for it. They have to put a lot of planning and thought into it, sketch and calculate the schemata for it, whereas some sociopathic, emotionally damaged or abused kid can just set that all on fire and destroy it with some matches and some gasoline, judicially applied.
I feel this is practically a perfect analogy for shitty, low-effort baitposters and all the constant critics and trolls.

Any significant artist or creator, from Homer, Virgil, Dant to fucking Shakespeare, James Joyce, could have PRECISELY such low effort shitposting against them.
So in fact an OP such as this does NOT turn me against Evola and Traditionalism, but rather instead makes me want to look into them even MORE.

It’s a similar psychosocial case going on here as the chud meme. People who dislike, hate, firmly disagree with anything they regard as “being a chud” particularly feel inspired to make a meme (cartoon drawing) to portray such “chuds” as being as evil, ugly societal rejects as they can be.
But if you’re someone who’s really lived life and know what you gotta know, then you KNOW that not every person with “crazy far-right views” is some loser, failure, ugly, or unsuccessful.
The mainstream left, and even the mainstream right of the Western globohomo establishment is AFRAID generally intelligent and (at least moderately) successful people could be against them.
So they have to mock them, creating extreme caricaturized views of their ugliness, or their stupidity, or their evilness.

Ernst Junger famously dismissed modern warfare as totally devoid of chivalric values and honor.
>I am overcome by loathing for the uniform, the epaulettes, the medals, the weapons, all the glamour I have loved so much. Ancient chivalry is dead; wars are waged by technicians. Mankind has thus reached the stage described by Dostoevsky in Raskolnikov. He views people like himself as vermin.

This. I always see this in Mishima threads where people will be extremely reductive and mock him for dying a pointless death. They completely forget that all deaths are pointless in a sense and what matters is finding meaning and purpose in the actions you take, but the idea is easily mocked by people who value nothing other than security and material comfort at a complete psychological expense.

This 100%, and I'd extend this further to say that I hate when this sort of reductive dismissal is applied to figures on the left as well. I'm fervently opposed to both atheism and Marxism, but it's frustrating to see discussions of people like Althusser or Benjamin derailed by vulgar dismissals, usually just sperging out over "commie Jews". Marxism is wrong, but when it's presented in a form that genuinely involved some real thought and consideration (particularly in the case of Benjamin), it ought to be engaged with through sincere critique, not a shitflinging that moreso resembles a superstitious fear of their ideas than any tangible opposition. This isn't saying, though, that we ought to extend this generosity to genuine hacks like Camus, Sartre, or any modern identity theorists whose "work" is just universalizing the experience of their own resentful mindsets.

Modern definition of "war" is so far removed from the "chivalric" ideal of warfare that it has almost nothing in common. I saw some "drone" footage and I got disgusted gotta be honest. Even WW1 was dark.
There's an ancient ideal of two opposing armies selecting a champion from either side to decide the conflict, David and Goliath is a great example, or the Horatii brothers of Rome. Can you imagine two modern states selecting a Warrior Champion from either side to fight? This is to spare as many lives as possible. Nope, modern war involves everyone, even civilians, displacing entire populations. It's pretty dark. I could go on about this. Ancient warriors also didn't need to hate each other to fight, it's when the masses are "mobilized" that they need to be whipped into hatred of the enemy, through the use of media and propaganda. Being a Warrior is definitely something that is transmitted through the blood, no doubt. It's not racist but it pertains to the caste system.

On a similar note, I've come into contact with moderners over the internet who seriously believe that ancient commanders (such as the Pharaohs for example) did not go out into the battlefield with their armies. Even though we have strong evidence that they did fight. Can you imagine a modern president donning a battle vest and fighting in the streets of a war-torn city, nope, obviously not. From a Warrior standpoint, modern leaders are cowards, but it does not matter because modern leaders represent the working class, and the working class are the lowest of the traditional four castes, corresponding to the "shudra", of course the shudra are not expected to hold their leaders to the ideals and standards of a warrior, but they see it as "foolish" for a leader to go fight on the frontlines because he might get hurt or even lose his life! How bizarre is that from the standpoint of a person who strongly identifies with the warrior caste.
I'm reading Rene Guenon right now and his remarks on how we are in the terminal stage of a cycle is just spot on. Worker ideals reign supreme and chivalry is not dead, but almost entirely pushed to the margins of society, such as for example this imageboard.
"Survival" is seen by workers and similar low-caste people as an ideal. A Warrior can not idealize survival, for obvious reasons.
Also as a side-note, just imagine a brainrotted, tik-tok consuming worker-ant reading my post and trying to make sense of it.

I briefly engaged with some neo-nazi groups out of curiosity but I lost interest because they weren't extreme enough in my view. It reminds me of when Evola criticized the Italiant Fascist "party" for calling themselves a party, from the standpoint that if the Fascists had truely subsumed all of the separate interests of the people into one single organization then they should have no business calling themselves a "party" any more, seeing as how the term "party" implies a special interest.
