Me too. Got Umberto Eco's "Name of the Rose" and "Foucault's Pendulum," Joyce's Portrait and "Dubliners," and Updike's (what's up...) "Rabbit, run" for around 30 bucks.

...I'll read Name of the Rose first. Seems fun, and I find the church history of the time really interesting.

I just bought an obscure biography of the Buddha written by some Hungarian autist who travelled to Tibet in the 1800s. I have no idea what to expect as no one in the world seems to have read it

>“Czoma de Körös, a Transylvanian, who spent eleven years in a Buddhist monastery, in the province of Kanaur, in the Himalaya, with the view of learning Tibetan, in which he perfectly succeeded. But when, later, he arrived in Calcutta, and then became aware that he had studied a dialect only (untergeordnete Sprache), he afterwards devoted himself to its primary source (Ursprache), the Sanskrit.”

I've had books on my reading list for years and buying them impulsively is good for finally getting to read them
