This got replaced in my Shakespeare favorites by Cymbeline after I found out the latter did pastoralism better.

It was very interesting seeing Shakespeare's take on vegetarianism and ecology.

>Thus most invectively he pierceth through
>The body of the country, city, court,
>Yea, and of this our life, swearing that we
>Are mere usurpers, tyrants and what's worse,
>To fright the animals and to kill them up
>In their assign'd and native dwelling-place.

AYLI is great. Orlando is a cheery fellow and his "poetry" is no worse than the "poetry" in /lit/ poetry threads.

Also Rosalind is a fine girl. She's almost Best Girl . . .

. . . but she isn’t because Imogen is Best Girl.

I haven't read Cymbeline or The Winter's Tale, but aren't they both said to have pastoral themes?

I thought 12th Night was funny. I usually don’t think Shakespeare comedies are funny

Shakespeare wasn't a pervert like you, he could appreciate women dressing up as men without being gay.

The dramatic illusion is that they're women.
