It's a bit like rick and morty. Made by Genx but so quintessentially millennial that anything they create post rick and morty will have been influenced by it.

Cohen has written at least one genuine masterpiece. Haven't read the others, can't speak about them.

are there many cases of authors producing good stuff in their 40s when they didn't do anything good in their 20s and 30s?

In theory Millennials should be producing, or starting to produce, their best art right now. Late 30s, early 40s, is when great writers and poets start to hit the peak of their powers if we go by the classic standards of when masterpieces have been produced in the lives of great writers and poets.

I'm 38 and I definitely feel like the last ten years have been extremely productive for me, and I'm a better artist right now than I was ten years ago or even five years ago.

But nah I've never read a millennial writer and I just assume all gen y literature sounds like a lecture off of twitter or a youtube script full of pseudo psychology with sprinklings of Rupi Kaur influence

I guess Pynch is the best boomer, gen-X and millennial author. And if he lives long enough i expect him to become the best zoomzoom author as well, le no cap.
He can just get in the spirit of the time and write good prose in it, however lame or uninspiring the current culture might be.
