Mild stimulants are the trve /lit/ drug. Nicotine and caffeine actually awaken your third eye.

Go without any caffeine for three months.
See the results.
I did that and everything - reading for prolonged periods of time, increasingly vivid imagination that seems as vivid as during childhood, vivid dreams. better comprehension - returned back.
I think caffeine is more dangerous than social media. It's the ultimate, and most invisible, Jewish weapon imaginable.

It actually closes it.
The feeling of alertness is fake, anyway. It's just adrenaline streaming through your blood and causing you to feel on edge. And the caffeine's effect on the adenosine receptors - it blocks their effect.
Furthermore, caffeine constricts blood vessels, restricting blood to your brain - hardly the effect an intellectual, thinking person wants. Hence, why headaches and vertigo are main symptoms of caffeine withdrawal: it's capillaries dilating after years of chronic tension.
Coffee isn't really good for you.
If you want to see the effect of caffeine in the body, find some LSD, which is essentially an amplifier of mental process and perceptions, nothing more, and take 50 to 100 mcg two times: one having drunk a caffeinated beverage of your choice; the other, sober. Or you can take caffeine mid session and see how it changes.
You'll be surprised at the changes, both in the body and mind.

I did that once since another poster (or maybe you, like 3 years ago?) suggested it. I wanted to see if it was true. Long story short: It's not true. Well, partially. I ended up cutting back to coffee in the morning, but I cut out soda and drank more water and tea. The key for me was more hydration, so now I keep a litre of water in a bottle next to me, and I sit in front of a fan when its hot, heater when its cold, and the mechanical hum luls me and I swap between water, coffee/tea when I need to drink. It works amazingly well in enchanging my imagination and when I snack I keep it to fruit instead of sugary stuff.

I fell for the meme that whiskey makes reading more enjoyable. You actually end up reading less and forgetting shit. Just gonna be coffee for me from now on.
