is being a literature chud now mainstream? will there be a backlash on the publishing industry not publishing anybody male or white for 45 years?

Same publisher that does Nick Land Xenosystems and Yarvin’s Gray Mirror. I almost suspect this is viral marketing for them because I’ve never heard anything about them.
The set is real though and on 55lb cream paper. I’m almost tempted.

why are /pol/tards so schizophrenic? the most vague resemblance to your ideology and you're already creaming your paints. starving for attention this bad screams mommy issues.

Passage Press is weird for running a literary/arts contest where the only way to read any of the winning pieces is to shell out an obscene amount for print copies: $78+ for the paperback, and "patrician" editions for hundreds of dollars. It makes me think that's so the only people reading them are going to be those already fully sold on their image, i.e. not likely to be too critical.

They're politics-first, and I doubt they're making their money off of sales. I'd guess they're on some political group's dole, which is ironic when they bill themselves as dissident.

Carmack has a public speaker fee ($10k-30k depending on it being virtual or live), so he's probably not beyond being paid for promotion.

>You have to like it because a white male wrote it!
>That makes it good because... because... BECAUSE IT JUST DOES OKAY
Nah, I'm good. Enjoy your slop.

or maybe he just likes the books and buys expensive shit that looks nice because he's rich?

Still white males being published, but they're getting very old. All the ones who published books I read in the last 5 years are over 60 years old. I don't know any young white men getting published anymore. I think the cut off is like 45, if you're a millennial or god forbid a zoomer trying to get traditionally published you're going to find nothing but closed doors.

according to Amazog, volume 1 has 288 pages, so looks a bit like a scam unless it's minuscule letters, Del Rey editions of Conan has more pages and it's just Conan

>communicating the sense of the new: "something new you haven't read" "a new discovery" "a hidden gem"
>finally explicitly mentions the product and brand
>shares link to website where you can buy it
Now, this is how you structure a perfect SHILL tweet. You guys need to learn. Carmack is a merchant of the best category.

Me - my problem - what I found - the solution - where to buy it

You got any links to the artwork? I was looking pretty hard for interior photos of these things and all I could find was one guy's blog post about it, which I can't find now. Considering how the Man's World magazines look (like shit), I expect the insides to be pretty bad.

Couldn't re-find that, but this guy details winning:
https://thesubstick.substack.com/i/157918984/passage-through-the-prize
He didn't even get a winner's copy of the book (had to shell out $250 for one), and hated the art they stuck to his piece.
>I didn’t draw this cover art, and I didn’t get to decide whether it should feature a naked woman drowning a dog in a fountain. Not to mention more hand drawn nudity on the page after the story. I was sure to impress upon them that I did not decide what was contained in the rest of this book, and they seemed understanding. To this day none of them have read Dogwhistle. I will not let them.
(there's a sample of a title page here and it does suck)

I know two guys who won in the last one had some accolades or shilling history on here, and a connection to the press through the /lit/ runoff milieu. I'm sure some of the material is good that shows up in there, but yeah I don't think they're pulling from a very wide or mature pool. This guy reviews some of the first release:
https://aldojonsson.substack.com/p/reading-passage-prize-vol-1-b6b
Sounds overall middling.

i don't know, i remember seeing the winners openly in 2023 for edition 1, maybe they paywalled it after that, or it was on Xitter so hard to find again, it was Gio Pennacchietti being the art judge i remember

i wouldnt say its mainstream yet to be a lit chud, but its more like its still forming into a thing. It wont be mainstream until the big publishers are ripping off the underground chud literature
