Some twitter users believe they have have identified Thomas Pynchon in audience photos from the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, where he was supposedly in attendance to see Bob Dylan with Mimi Farina. In this photo, he would be on the left. Thoughts?

This was his third or fourth day of field work, as I recall. We shared a floor for a stretch in 1964. He was a good agent. Excellent memory. Shame it didn't work out.
