More a personal story of regret, for a gone aristocratic world. You can ofc read an anthology, but i don't think you would get the full feeling, this slow disillusionment.

only read part of it, but it's pretty good, there's a cool part where Chateaubriand becomes a full blown NEET with an unironic waifu and almost blows his brains out, so yeah 10/10 for realism
