Seriously, why did he think it was a good idea to hire an editor on Fiverr to edit his novels? This is very clearly a bad idea to anyone with an ounce of sense, and everyone knows editing literature isn't just about checking spelling and grammar (which the ESL editor still left plenty of mistakes). Why didn't someone advise him to hold off on publishing the book until he can find a serious creative collaborator? Are Jay the Author and Jayden fake friends? They let him sleepwalk into viral humiliation and allowed his dreams of becoming a respected writer to perish in front of him.

They're all just as retarded as each other. They commit to the Neo-Beat larp and didn't recognise the Beat movement was made up of a lot of people with actual interests outside of social media larping. I wonder what Jay and Jaidyn are up to nowadays. Waldun is the only one making videos from what I can see.

The Fiverr editor was for The Learned Disguise which was published well before Waldun met Jay and Jaiden. OP is a faux Waldun scholar, a Faudun if you will.
For L'Académie, Waldun hired a vanity editor that he payed monthly or bi-weekly for over a year, spending upwards of $10,000 for her services. What's even worse, is the woman he hired didn't even read or edit the text. She passed the workload off to an assistant/secretary and then would discuss the edits done by the assistant/secretary with Waldun over Zoom. So basically Waldun paid for a giant scam and like the retard he is he fell for it for over a year, and L'Académie still came out as a piece of shit despite him spending over $10,000 on it.

Waldun publicly revealed as much in the videos he was making during the whole process. He also posted screenshots of his emails with the vanity editor, in which you could clearly read "Sorry, my assistant hasn't finished reading your most recent draft and making comments so I don't have much to discuss." Waldun also revealed they were meeting monthly or every other week, I forget which, but obviously that isn't free. That costs money, and he promised to after The Learned Disguise to pay for a "better editor". Waldun met with this editor for well over a year, I honestly think it was for two years. He paid for two years worth of service. There's no way that was cheap. I'm estimating $10,000. But there's no way to know how much he paid, but you could probably do some googling and see how much a "freelance editor" will charge you to edit your novel, and then multiply that quoted cost for two years worth of service. The you'll get an idea of how much money Waldun wasted on his shitty novel.

Honestly, the reason I know so much is I used to be one of 4chan's top Waldun scholars. But after he gave up on writing, Waldun was no longer interesting so I stopped studying him.

He self-pubbed it. You can make-up a publisher name when you self-pub. But here's how retarded Waldun is. He initially tried to get it traditionally published. Obviously that didn't work out. But he did get offers from vanity publishers where he'd have to pay some $2000 to $5000 dollars to get it published. Waldun said no to that because he wasn't going to pay to have his book published as that's a scam. So what does Waldun do? He pays an editor for two years, costing way more than the vanity publication!

It’s not awful but just lacks a spark and seems too up its own ass. Needs some grit, intrigue, mystery or something to pull you in in the first few pages.

Also “The Regime” ? They let that slide through editing? Why would a regime call itself the regime. I wouldn’t shit on anyone for writing a book because it takes a lot to put something out there and finish it but it seems like Waldun got taken for a ride if he really was paying an editor

Watching YouTube reviews for Waldun’s book and as much as I find his whole schtick irritating I think the reviewers shitting on him are worse. Feedback and criticism is one thing but these people are just bitter slobs. Look at this guy:

Book is probably not great but there is way worse slop out there and big chungus here takes it as some kind of heresy that the kid wrote a lousy book. I mean he’s seriously giving him a hard time for a missing accent mark.

You are Waldun. You made this thread as a way to seemingly blame the quality of your book on a fiverr editor by hiding the excuse as a criticism. No one talks about you on /lit/ except for you. Good luck on the book though, hopefully it's good and you sell copies.

You clearly don't know your Waldun lore. KDBooks is the one who reviewed Waldun's first book, A Learned Disguise. He was much nicer in that video as he acknowledged it was a first attempt. In the video he explicitly addresses Waldun and tells him that if Waldun ever writes another book, he would edit it for FREE. Waldun even comments on the vid suggesting he might take him up on the offer. To which KDBooks responds at tells him that he's completely serious about editing his next book for free.

Eventually Waldun does start writing another book and instead of taking KD's offer he wastes an estimated $5,000 - $10,000 dollars on "editors". Waldun completely deserves to get dunked here imo

Some guy who posts on /lit/ was in his social circle and hated him. Posted his videos and made threads about his upcoming book. When it was released it was as terrible as people thought it would be and spawned a series of threads that lasted about a week. There was some pretty funny content in the threads, people mock analyzing homosexual subtext in his work, but its a had to be there type of thing and not really worth revisiting (unless he writes another book).
