Plato and the other early philosophers are on a level that you could only understand if you actually read them. Their relation to Pythagoras takes their philosophy to a whole other level. The tretaktys for example is almost like instructions to the three dimensional plane with the monad, dyad, triad and tetrad. The monad plus the 1st 2nd and 3rd dimensions. And when you connect all the dots you get the cube. Instructions that then illustrate the whole. And their philosophy and metaphysics are related to this. Furthermore, everything philosophical or metaphysical that is written in the western canon stems from this same source. And I'm not even scratching the surface of Plato with this. You're a fucking retard if you think philosophy is anything without Plato.

The entirety of JRR Tolkien's work is longer than the Bible, Quran and Talmud combined.

>be Plato
>write around 30 something dialogues
>focus longest two on politics
>implicitly focus on political questions about virtue and conduct and what the poets and sophists teach in most of the rest
>write the Timaeus
>portray Socrates as just watching with little comment
>the big joke is that Timaeus has to restart over and over because he keeps forgetting shit
>Critias tells a story that sounds a lot like the invasion of Sicily
>the Sicilian general that fucks Athens up is present and watching silently
>no one picks up on how wild this all is
>readers through the ages just decide I'm all about this shit
