Why not just say "laughable"? Why even bother modifying with "inherently" if you offer nothing to show how being "laughable" is a necessary, essential quality to audiobooks? I would agree with you that they're not real reading, but you aren't doing yourself a favor by pretending you're somehow superior to people who use them.
