Currently no.
I am pretty new to reading (have read like 50 actual books) and mostly want to "shortly experience" most authors. If I have a good overview about a good number of authors I can choose whom I want to read more from.
And I have the feeling that thicc books get repetitive at times. Furthermore I don't want to spent too much time on a single book. I could read like 4 books instead of one big one. That is like getting the perspective of 4 different people instead of one. I kinda like that more

Anyway. How can some of you watch these book review people. Most of the time I watch some of them (mostly females. Don't get me wrong. I love females) they just endlessly talk about anything except an analysis of the book. If I want to hear someone talk about random stuff I watch Jacobfuckingjones. Most of them book youtubers often don't even have a clue about the book. It feels like they didn't even read in in depth.

With this board hosting the greatest concentration of pseudointellects humanity has to offer, of course /lit/ would enjoy long, boring books.

No not at all. I don’t think I’ve read a book over 300 pages where you couldn’t cut something inconsequential. Then again I don’t read books longer than that anyways

The longest I've ever read would be either the 3rd or 4th Malazan (I forget) or IT. I listened to the stand on audible so it doesn't technically count.

I agree with Callimachus: Big book, big bad.

Read 4 novels last week, each 200-300 pages, it was more enjoyable than commiting to a 800+ doorstopper novel that might not even be worth the trouble.
The longest novel I read was probably Under the Dome by King, it was nice.
Large collections are fine, currently reading complete Euripides, 1 drama per day.

If the book is good, yes; if not, no.

Sure it wasn't two who were conjoined? Or multiple dwarves in a single very large trenchcoat? A glamoured bridge troll, perhaps?
