>>24566216 (OP)physical books are a scam for authors and readers

>>24566694Don't try to convince me reading War and Peace in paperback format is a comfortable experience
>>24566216 (OP)Nothing wrong with having both, as long as you're not paying too much for the physical.
I like both though. I tend to read at night on my phone. Something comfy about laying in bed, with a rotating fan blowing over you in the heat of the night while its dark and the glow of a small screen reading 30-40 pages in about an hour before sleep. I also keep a physical book in the bathroom and get through a chapter every time I take a shit.
I like holding e-reader with one hand. Sometimes read hardcovers too for the sake of diversity. Paperbacks gisgust me.
Some books are just terrible in paper. Saw the Magic Mountain in a library recently, 1200 pages thick, I'm not reading that cement block of a book.
I only get physical books if they got a pretty cover.
are e-readers worth it? just read on your phone
>>24567113For big books you just have to hold it during the first and last 150~ pages though? Otherwise just plonk it down
