What is a genuinely good horror novel? I want to read something that will disturb and scare me. Top recommendations?

Recently finished The Lesser Dead.

Don't think it will scare you but it will very likely disturb you.
Very good book involving vampires. Actually horrifying.

Can someone recommend me some horror written in the last 5-10 years that isn't polluted with wokeshit propaganda?

The Hannibal lector books are really horror imo. Maybe it's just what you said, difficult to be scared after a while. Thinking about pet sematary still give me the chills though, read it in middle school
