David Gemmel's Drenai series was very good at conveying Christian ideas very subtly without ever making it obnoxious or obvious that that is what it was doing.

the shortcut is 'Enneads' by Plotinus, and 'Periphyseon' by Eriugena. there are other good ones in this chart too, but these are the best.
