When man ran publishing they turned reading from a male activity to one generally considered unisex, and finally one that was female focused. They also provided the keys to the industry and hired women at such high rates that it's now almost exclusively women running the show.
When women run the publishing industry it becomes ever more niche until basically the only people left buying books are upper middle class NPR listeners and smut fanatics because they won't allow books for anyone else to be published often flat out (illegally) denying men from even submitting manuscripts.
I wonder if this phenomenon of men welcoming women and then being backstabbed by them can be found in any other aspects of modern society.
