Idk it’s not bad at all, but its cultural impact was sadly a net-negative because it struck too deep a chord in the midwit mind. I think, though, for every Reddit asshole spawned by this book, there are probably multiple readers who were influenced in positive ways to read more or study more about the universe and not be a complete pseud about it. Maybe that’s just optimistic though.
Personally I read it at like 27 (last year) and it had 0 impact on me
