It's been a long time since I read it but this is basically the story

absolutely. people who say it's boring are either too dumb for it or being willfully obtuse. austen's prose is phenomenal.

in plotting i feel it's an inferior or more dubious version of evelina. but austen's prose elevates it. you won't regret reading it in any event.

Non. Read Stendhal or Flaubert instead. All these boudoir british novels are just glorified chicklit.

Breddy gud. Absolutely lovely writing, and even elicited a few sensible chuckles. Left the impression of a very finely crafted, delicate piece of art. I can definitely understand the hype.
