I read this piece of shit because I saw it posted on here a couple of times. What was the point? The author clearly was trying to make a metaphysical or spiritual point, but I don't get it.

It's a terribly overrated book that got that way cause it's old and it was influential, specifically influencing C.S. Lewis. I don't know what the point of it all is either, but it seemed pretty nihilistic to me and kind of just a biga bummer.
