I hope sminem is doing alright
It's pretty useful. I don't write daily in mine. I only make a note when I start mulling over something. Things might seem neat when they're comfortably undifferentiated in your mind, but sometimes you don't realize how horrifyingly stupid your thoughts are until you try to process them through language. I cringe badly rereading some stuff, but it still beats being unwittingly full of cringe.
I keep wanting to record a dream diary but I consistently awake in a depressive haze and remain paralysed in bed for 3 hours, leaving my dreams long forgotten by the time I have the energy to write about them.
>>24600006 (OP)I wanna keep a diary because I forget all the moments where I felt joy and even the stories that inspired them. Also I wanna be able to post it as the answer to retarded one sentence
>Name one book that's best for xThreads
>>24600121I did this for a couple years and found out a lot about myself and am generally better at recalling things, dreams or otherwise, and understanding symbolism. I fell out of the habit and never got back into it consistently, sadly.
>>24600121All my dreams the past few years are nightmares of a pretty understandable nature and would rather my subconscious work on fantasizing and exploring like the old days instead of being in constant fear and struggle like my conscious already is
>>24600115I don't keep a diary, but I do make pros/cons lists when I'm struggling with a decision for this reason.
>>24600006 (OP)I wish I could warn every child on earth to not keep a diary. You parents WILL read it.
>>24600006 (OP)A diary is only worth keeping if you have something interesting to say. Most diaries end up being food journals because people do nothing every day.
