I honestly don't care anymore after the snorefest that was the last two books. He clearly had no ideas after taking such a long break. Same thing King did with The Dark Tower. Wrote some if his best work with Wizard and Glass, then shits himself trying to figure out where to go with the rest after a long pause.

His estate will open it up even more. You'll hear annual rumors of a movie until it finally happens in 2030. They'll try to make it the fantasy Star Wars and open up the idea of "canon" EU-style novels, shows, a Youtube series of all things, and a video game in the style of TES headed by Obsidian. It'll be pretty good actually, but full of bugs and the most insane DLC structure ever unleashed on gaming and it'll be a laughing stock for decades
