You're attacking me personally like a robot. I happened to have recognized him, but it's a bit like showing off a book cover without a title and expecting everyone to know the book you're talking about. Not everyone knows an obscure lecturer based on a random picture. It makes you look stupid and pretentious whenever you do this.

>check history undergrads modules so I can be a GOAT like him one day
>earliest they mostly go are around the medieval period
>most optional and last year modules are from a post modern liberal worldview
>check classical studies
>"You could also build a curriculum around gender and sexuality and study topics like gender and performance, queer forms in 18th-century women's poetry, or queer theory"
>ancient history covers 1.200 BC - 600 AD but most colleges don't have it
I guess I will just die a peasant.
If I had the money I would just study ancient history first and then classics but the employment rate of anything at all in these three is highest as a basic history major and even then it's just babysitting ADHD ridden zoomers who film you behind your back calling you names just to post it for tiktok clout.

Check classics. They usually do a classical philosophy vs classical poetry angle, and you can always just rock up to other lectures.

What about the language learning aspect?
Do they give you either greek or latin to study as a divergent path or studying both is a requirement for your graduation instead?
Do you learn pre koine classical greek or pre christianity cut off in latin? Who are the latest authors and works they stop at?

For me he's the better lecturer. Michael is likeable and all but you can easily tell when he disagrees with an author. Staloff is living charisma no matter what he is teaching, and he also happened to give the better lectures on Kant and Hegel

I'm assuming for my answers that you aren't an amerilard, if you are, then disregard everything I say and probably lose some weight or smthin
>What about the language learning aspect?
There are other courses that don't focus on the classical language aspects
>Do they give you either greek or latin to study as a divergent path or studying both is a requirement for your graduation instead?
You do like Latin year 1, then you hybridise for year 2. Year 3 is just a fuck about
>Do you learn pre-Koine classical Greek or pre-Christianity cut off in Latin?
iirc you can choose to do Attic or Homeric if Koine isn't your thing (Homeric is for 600IQ super brains imho)
>Who are the latest authors and works they stop at?
I guess Cicero, although if you're focusing on Greeks, then it will be earlier. (Personally, I like Horace. For the sex appeal, you know)

It annoyed me a bit how he criticised Schopenhauer's pessimism for the first third of the video, as if his position was utterly absurd or harmful.
