Do you read multiple books in a single day or spend lots of time on a single book? I have a lot of free time this week but I feel like I'm gonna end up only reading sometimes and idling away most of it like usual.

2, 3 at most.
Yes, when you want to keep reading but are simply tired or fed up with a book you rest a bit and go to another that is is easier to comprehend or just a different subject to keep things fresh and keep moving.

Max 3. 1 fiction. 1 non fiction (usually history). 1 poetry collection.

Usually I read 2 novels in parallel (one in English, the other in my TL), 2 or 3 nonfiction works revolving around a specific topic, and perhaps a little bit of poetry here and there.
I don't know if this approach would work for everyone, but it suits me fine.
