I hate how this site is the only place where you can express any form of skepticism about the gross, overgrown teratomas that are modern western cities. Just thinking about their shapeless, mongrelized brown mass makes my stomach churn. No wonder Lovecraft made an entire career out of his elemental sense of disgust towards them.

Even bougie people stopped caring about being seen as well-read and hip with their literary tastes sometime in the last decade. Like that era where Updike dropping a new Rabbit each decade or any other major established author releasing something big and ambitious was seen as a huge blockbuster event is gone and never coming back in our lifetime.
