I read the Sermons. they're powerful although they sort of laid the groundwork for Spinoza's philosophy of religion. I still respect Eckhart over him a million times albeit.

you can't understand eckhart from reading or listening to youtube videos about him. You have to actually live the Christian life at which point he becomes unnecessary
